iACADEMY’s Vision Creative Unit Marks Its 6th Year as a Premier Creative Development Hub

January 12, 2026

iACADEMY’s Vision Creative Unit is now in its 6th year, continuing its mission to support young creatives by giving mentorship and industry exposure. The Vision Creative Unit is the special group where student-creators, mentors, and partners work together to make original projects that aim to meet global creative standards while staying culturally connected.

Today, animation, film, comics, and various forms of digital media are expanding rapidly, leaving many students struggling to translate classroom learning into professional-level output. The Vision Creative Unit was created to address this gap. Bringing in leading figures from film, animation, comics, and other creative fields, ranging from Oscar-nominated directors, Pixar and Disney artists and writers, to prominent independent creators, the unit also collaborates with global platforms, evidenced by the iNDIEGENIUS Project Lab that was partnered with Netflix alongside local agencies and groups such as the Film Development Council of the Philippines, and the Directors Guild of the Philippines, to help strengthen the skills of emerging artists. These efforts have produced student-creators who have reached prestigious stages, including QCinema, the Busan International Film Festival, and other noteworthy festivals.

A creative development hub, Vision Creative Unit gives masterclasses, portfolio help, mentorship sessions, and real-world exposure to contests and creative project labs. Students get to learn directly from award-winning directors, comic artists, designers, producers, and even publishers. In the past four years, Vision Creative Unit had sessions with the creators behind the Avatar films, Marvel, DC Comics, Trese, Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah, the award-winning director behind Leonor Will Never Die, Heneral Luna and Quezon, and many more, which is inspiring for young artists dreaming to be pros.

The Unit also helps students build projects that can compete on big platforms. With workshops, pitch training, and feedback sessions, Vision Creative Unit guides us in creating stories and concepts that stand out. Because of this, Vision Creative Unit students have been recognized in QCinema, Gawad CCP, PICOF Creator’s Lab, SIKAP, DICT-ACPI, and even international competitions like Negative Space in New York. These show how strong the mentorship culture is inside Vision Creative Unit  and how real-world opportunities help students hone their craft and even achieve their dreams.

Entering its sixth year, Vision Creative Unit plans to push more for accessible creative learning, bigger creative development programs, and more opportunities for students to join festivals, studios, and creative institutions around the world. The goal stays the same: to build young storytellers and artists who can become game-changers in the creative field. With growing partnerships, broader mentorship opportunities, and more project-based learning, the Vision Creative Unit stays as iACADEMY’s proud hub for creativity that goes Beyond Better.
