iACADEMY Animation Students Named Top 10 Finalists at Young Creatives Challenge 2026

Lola Goes to Bicol, a 2D cutout animated film created by Dead Horse Productions has been named a Top 10 Finalist in the Animation Category of the Young Creatives Challenge Season 3.
The project was developed by third-year Animation students Marianne Faith Amaro, Mario Oliver Bate, Jam Lising, and Chariza Ann Lupso. Organized by the Department of Trade and Industry, the nationwide competition recognizes outstanding creative works from young Filipino talents.
Being named among the top finalists places the team among the country’s most promising emerging animators and storytellers.
“This achievement reflects the dedication and creativity of our students,” said Hamill Buyco, Dean of the School of Design and the Arts. “Competitions like the Young Creatives Challenge encourage innovation while providing valuable industry exposure.”
Monique Fandagani, Animation Program Coordinator, noted that competitions help students develop confidence and professional readiness. “Recognition at the national level validates the hard work invested in every stage of production and motivates students to continue pushing their creative boundaries.”
The achievement highlights iACADEMY’s continuing efforts to nurture animation talents capable of competing at the highest levels of the creative industry.
